On our way to meet him I was excited more than anything. We were to meet him at 9 a.m. at Casitas Kennedy. We walked up the sidewalk and I paused at the end because inside the open doorway was Justin sitting on the floor playing with a puzzle. I motioned for everyone to be quiet and we all stared at him waiting for him to catch us. He looked up and just stared at me for 5 seconds with no expression. I was worried he was mad at us for not coming the day before. And then it hit him and a smile lit up his face and he ran towards me saying, "Mama"! hugs, "Papa"! hugs, "hermana", hugs, "hermano"! hugs, and then more hugs. I think he must not have believed that we were actually there, but he was not mad one bit. We went inside and said hello and signed some papers to have legal custody of him until the adoption is legal. Outside was beautiful in the mid 80s and sunny so we decided to go outside and let the kids play awhile. The start of our new family, let the bonding begin. Madeline and Brett were so sweet I couldn't have asked for a better start. Burger King was the next stop and then to the hotel. Just like we remembered, he has a smile that lights up his whole face and a laugh that makes you enjoy the simple things.
Beautiful moments...beautiful pictures!!! SO very happy for you all!!! When is the adoption court date??? It is just wonderful that your whole family can be together...they remind me so much of our three musketeers...our 10 "soon to be" daughter and son are twins and their younger brother 22 months younger...they are inseparable!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for a quick Visa so you can return home soon, but enjoy everything you can in Honduras...can you rent a car and visit the coast? We love Tela and Omoa...I really want to visit the Ruines de Copan.
God Bless You!!!
