August 29th, 2011 - Tegucigalpa

We landed in Tegucigalpa around 10:30 a.m. local time and our driver/translator was waiting to pick us up. We had too much luggage so we had to hire a cab from the airport, not something that is encouraged to do, but Bob and the luggage made it safely. Immediately the kids wanted to know when we were going to meet Justin. We dropped our bags off in our room and met in the lobby to go to lunch. We were told that everyone involved is ready for us to go pick up Justin after lunch and come back to the hotel where he would stay with us forever from then on. Bob and I wanted to have that evening to recuperate from lack of sleep, and settle in. Madeline had gotten sick on the trip and we were not sure if she was ok or not. Needless to say we were not prepared to have him that first night.  We just wanted to catch our breath before experiencing an emotional day. I am glad we did. Too tired to blog anymore. I will try to write about the most important day tomorrow.
Madeline feeling much better as we are almost to Tegucigalpa

Madeline and Brett have taken many plane rides before, but this time the clouds seemed "really pretty" as they both stated many times to me during the plane ride.

In Honduras the currency used is lempiras or 'lemps"

Our grocery store run at Super-Walmart. Bob swears there was only cornflakes or  the sugary cereal :)
