What The Kids Are Saying
As I tuck each child into bed I will lay down by them to talk for a few minutes. A few weeks ago my 6 yr old starts asking deep important questions about his brother to be, "Mom, what if he dies and we don't get a chance to meet him?" Why is he an orphan? Why didn't his mommy want him?, but the biggest question of all and one that we have heard numerous times, "Aaah, when are we going to get him?" All tough questions for a little boy to understand. Last night he says, "Mom, little one, can sleep on the bottom bunk and I can sleep on the top bunk." Confirming his plan he then says, "Yeah, he might be scared to sleep on top." To him I replied, "That would be great. I think that is a perfect idea." My 8 yr old on the other hand is a little bit more quieter, and is busy making plans on where we can go and what we can do when he comes to TX and even made a shopping list of items that we need to buy for him. On the list.. a Leapster, ball, blinku (for the blinku club) she writes, and candy. In exclamation marks she writes, LETS GO SHOPPING!
